new sensationail summer gel nail polish

Summer is here! Everyone is planning their holidays, shopping for the summer wardrobe and shedding the winter layers. Don’t worry, we’ve got your summer nails covered. The new Escape to the Tropics collection has landed and these summer nail polish shades are seriously hot!

Luscious lemon gel nail polish

Luscious Lemon

The sunniest gel nail polish shade you’ll ever see. This bright lemon yellow gloss polish was made to wear in the sun but if the sun isn’t out, it will certainly brighten up a cloudy day. Especially good with a white summer dress, wear this yellow nail polish to summer weddings, picnics, days at the races and festivals - come rain or shine!

Because of the warm lemon tones, this shade of yellow works really well with both pale and tanned skin tones. Keep nails really bright by painting a layer of white gel polish under the yellow.

Berry Nice

A berry nice shade indeed! This is a summery berry purple with just a hint of magenta to add brightness.

This gloss purple polish will see you through all seasons. It works well with summer brights and cozy winter woolies. Spice this purple by using white to create geometric nail art designs for one of a kind nails or our Light Em Up Fuchsia glitter works brilliantly over this.

Orange Fizz gel nail polish

Orange Fizz

Orange is such a hot summer colour. Seen on the fingers of supermodels like Gigi Hadid recently, orange works surprisingly well with most outfits.

A must for the beach, paint a layer of White Lily polish under the orange to keep the shade bright and bold. Why not create ombre nails with Luscious Lemon yellow or team with Scarlet Red for fiery nail art?

Pink Hibis-kiss

This is one hot pink nail polish! If you’re anything like us, you’ll agree that you can never have too many shades of pink in your gel nail collection.

This pink is bright, bold and screams fun. Wear with bikinis, on toes on the beach or with all white or black and let your nails do the talking.

Island Hopper

The new SensatioNail shade that has everyone talking. This tropical teal will transport you to jewel Caribbean seas and island lagoons. A stunning colour for summer evening parties, you will be planning your outfits around your nails with this one. Mix with white gel polish for a lighter pastel shade or add Silver Glitter FX for extra sparkle.

Kiwi Squeeze

Wow! This mouthwatering shade will make you want to order a fruity cocktail. This fresh lime shade looks great against both pale and tanned skin. In fact, if you want to show off your summer tan, this colour will really make it pop. Kiwi Squeeze will take you from summer's day to night and turn everyone lime green with envy.

Other ways to wear bright gel nail colours

If you’re looking for ways make your nails stand out even more or want to get used to wearing brights, try some of these ideas:

  • Manicure tips with brights. Like a French manicure, but using bright gel nail polish shades, create a reverse french manicure by painting your nails white or nude and the tips of your nails using one of the colours above or alternatively, paint the nail using one bright colour and tip with another.

  • Ombre. Not the easiest nail art trend but practice makes perfect and it’s well worth it. Ombre a bright shade into a gentler one for a really pretty slant on bright summer nails. More info on how to do ombre nails here. Tip: use a Fan Nail Art Brush for the best results.

  • Geometric patterns. Still all over the catwalks and favoured by celebs, geometric patterns are stylish and so much fun. Use the Slanted nail art brush or Striper tool to create stripes or angled blocks of colour.

  • Go dotty! Use our Dotting tool to put bright dots over white nails – or vice versa.

  • Mix it up! Mix brights together to create new shades, mix with white to create pastel versions of each shade or add glitter for an added touch of sparkle to really catch the sun. Read our mixing nail art tips here.

Send us your pics and tips via Facebook and Twitter - we can’t wait to see how you’re wearing the new collection.
