Everyone at SensatioNail is so excited to be working with Fearne Cotton as our brand ambassador. We had a fabulous day with her launching Polish to Gel and loved doing her nails for the Brits.
Since then Fearne has been having great fun with her Polish to Gel kit as seen here
Here’s what she had to say about life, motherhood, nails & more..!
What’s the best part of your job?
It’s different every day – that’s the best bit. I could be a spokesperson for a brand such as SensatioNail Polish to Gel one minute, the next presenting a live show or writing a cook book. It’s ever changing which keeps me so excited and that’s why I love it.
You always look so toned. What’s your tips for keeping fit whilst juggling young children?
I don’t put much pressure on myself, I do a bit of running, a bit of yoga and sometimes go to the gym – there’s no schedule or routine. I do what I can when I’m able to fit it around the kids. I’m not militant about it and try to always eat healthy.
What’s the best part of being a mum?
Every part is amazing! I love every aspect of being a mum. I find it miraculous that these two little beings call me mum and I love it. Being a mum is the best part of your life as well as the hardest at times.
Any plans on having more?
Hmmm...not right now. I’m still in recovery from having Honey!
Any particular diet or healthy eating tips you follow?
The only thing I don’t do is eat refined sugar. That’s easy for me to follow. I can make so many cakes and recipes without including them and I just try to eat everything in moderation and follow what makes me feel good and keeps me energised.
How did you first hear about SensatioNail?
I saw a couple of bloggers writing about it. It really appealed to me as I love having my nails done especially a gel nail as it lasts longer. As time is so limited these days especially being a parent, the fact that SensatioNail Polish to Gel can be done at home is simply genius and a real game changer for me.
What made you become a spokesperson for SensatioNail Polish to Gel?
Using it enables me to pamper myself and do my nails but within my time frame around my kids. The SensatioNail Polish to Gel is genuinely something I believe in and am passionate about. I love using it at home so it’s a no brainer for me to work with SensatioNail.
What makes SensatioNail Polish to Gel so different?
I’ve used some nail varnishes which have the tag line that it has a “gel effect” but they’ve still chipped. With the Polish to Gel – because it converts any normal nail polish into a gel polish with its Transformer formula it lasts as long as it would have done if I'd had them done in a salon. There’s a massive difference between this and a polish or a “gel effect” polish. It’s actually like having your own mini nail salon at home. It is worlds apart to anything else currently on the market.
Is nails a big part of your look? And how important is it to have a polish that doesn’t chip easily?
When I’m at home just being a mum then nails aren’t as important but when I go out to something special, for example the Brits, then ensuring my polish doesn’t chip is very important to my look.
What’s your biggest nail faux paus?
No faux paus as such as I love to experiment. I’ve had lots of fun designs like crazy cobwebs and rhinestones!
Who’s your style icon?
I love Kate Blanchett, she never gets it wrong on the red carpet and I like Lilly James at the moment, I think she looks gorgeous all the time!
Who do you follow for inspiration on Instagram?
There’s so many people I follow for inspiration but there’s a girl called Pandora Sykes a fashion blogger and I love everything she wears. She looks incredible.
What are your favourite trends for spring/summer?
I like anything from Gucci at the moment. It’s insane! The big pussy bows and the silk bomber jackets are just dreamy. But high street wise I’ll be wearing strappy sandals with dungarees.
What’s your favourite nail trend?
I saw a really nice idea where someone cut out a little heart sticker, stuck it on their nails and painted their nails red, peeled off the sticker so they have a little heart shape left. It looked so pretty and I will definitely attempt to try it with the Polish to Gel!
You always look effortlessly stylish! Any tips for other working mums?
When I was pregnant I didn’t really change my style at all. I usually wore things that were comfy and easy to wear like ripped jeans with a t-shirt. Now though if I’m on the school run I’ll wear something fun like a big faux fur coat so I instantly feel a bit more glam. I’ve got a great big leopard one, a pink one or a cream one, great in the winter too.
